Basic actions

BASIC ACTION 01
Counterspark

Use a Counterspark to deflect and neutralize enemy attacks.
Deflecting attacks with Countersparks will cause enemies to become temporarily panicked, opening up a window of opportunity for you to deal major damage.
An enemy’s panic status is indicated by the red gauge.

BASIC ACTION 02
Martial Skill

Use Ki to unleash powerful attacks. Each martial skill has special attributes and may be modified by repeatedly pressing or holding the button.
Exhaust an enemy's Ki using martial skills or other attacks. With their stance broken, they'll be unable to move and you can unleash devastating strikes.

BASIC ACTION 03
Critical Hits

Fully deplete your enemies' Ki to break their stance, then take advantage of the opening to land a critical hit and deal major damage.

BASIC ACTION 04
Battles with
powerful enemies

The best way to drain an enemy of Ki is to first reduce their maximum Ki.
Panic enemies with Countersparks and then attack to significantly reduce their maximum Ki, making it easier for you to fully deplete their Ki.
In such a situation, the use of martial skills will prove more effective than normal attacks.

ADDITIONAL ACTION 01
Assassinations

This will allow you to sneak up on and dispatch enemies without engaging them.
Note that you may not be able to assassinate formidable foes in one fell swoop.

ADDITIONAL ACTION 02
Allies

You can switch between the allies under your control when they are in your party.
Changing between your characters to suit the battle conditions may help you to turn a fight to your advantage.

Blade Flash

This will clean your weapon of blood and replenish a certain amount of Ki depending on the amount present. Use between attacks to perform various actions.
Each blow you land with your primary weapon increases the amount of blood on it. The gauge displayed below the primary weapon icon indicates how bloodied your weapon is.

Ki Blaze

In desperate situations, some formidable foes who share a strong bond will be spurred by the thrill of battle and activate a “Ki Blaze.”
While activated, a Ki Blaze will significantly increase various combat stats for you and your allies.
Activation of this technique will require charging your Ki Blaze Gauge with attacks or Countersparks.

WEAPON

Weapon

You can choose from various melee weapons, including “katana,” “spear,” and “odachi,” each with multiple “styles” available.
By freely combining these based on the types of weapons the enemies use and your own personal combat style,
you can enjoy a wide range of tactics.
There are also plenty of long-ranged weapons, such as "guns" and "bows," which you must use strategically according to the situation.

CHARACTER
CREATION

Character creation

From their facial features, hair, and makeup to their body shape and voice, the protagonist – your Veiled Edge – is yours to create. Note that as you progress through the story, you’ll acquire new clothing and gear to customize their appearance further.

COOPERATIVE
PLAY

Cooperative play

The game supports cooperative play for up to 3 players. You can participate in numerous missions through "Join," "Recruit," and "Search," and it's possible to set a password for friend recruitment.
Additionally, as an asynchronous online play element, you may encounter other players' ronin in the game. If you deposit money with the "Pilgrim dog", it will appear in other players' games and bring back items for you.
