Edo, Sengoku, Heian ——
A fierce journey begins, charging through the ages to confront the calamity known as “The Crucible.”

EDO

Edo Castle was the administrative center of the shogunate established by Tokugawa Ieyasu, who ended the era of civil wars, and its magnificent presence demonstrated the shogun's authority throughout the Japan. However, Edo was suddenly overtaken by hell, hoards of yokai descended upon humans, and the era of peace was shattered.

SENGOKU

Totomi Province (present-day western Shizuoka Prefecture) was a contested territory between the Tokugawa and Takeda clans.
Accompanied by supernatural beings known as “Yokai,” the Takeda army's fierce assault forced the Tokugawa clan to retreat.
Above Hamamatsu Castle, the Tokugawa stronghold, a colossal yokai that summoned the Crucible itself was seated.

HEIAN

The ancient capital of Kyoto was sealed in ice and snow by the fierce cold generated from the bitter crucible that engulfed the Imperial Palace.
Despite being protected by multiple layers of barriers, yokai roamed freely throughout the road, prompting the Kamakura warriors led by Minamoto Yoritomo to battle these yokai in order to maintain Kyoto's order.

A land of carnage ruled by fearsome foes

The Crucible
A domain filled with powerful negative energy born from malevolent and harmful thoughts that torment others. It continuously inflicts suffering on those within and generates a large amount of spirit stones. Isolated from the outside world, ordinary people cannot enter or leave, but those present when crucible manifests are drawn in.
In order to purify it, the crucible spike, which is the source of its energy, must be destroyed.
