I come from a place where fighting is expected. Against the world, against the odds, and sometimes against myself. At 14 years old, I was fitting the trend of two sterotypes, a young hopeless urban to anyone who cared to view, and to my peers, a nerd who played video games all day. Sometimes embarassed with who I was, I fought through the cruelty of the world around me with passion and anger. With the release of Dead or Alive 4 in 2005, I learned to channel my frustrations with my life through my favorite game. Working just a minimum wage job through high school I was able to pay for my travels to tournaments around the country and become one of the best players in the world. Seven years have passed, and I am not the boy I once was, I am a strong, confident and concentrated young man. To be quite honest I'm not sure I could have done it without Dead or Alive, I always had it in me, but in a turning point in my life, DOA made me reach deep for the champion inside.
